Woven polypropylene (PP) bags are very durable and inherently tear and puncture resistant - representing great value for money. They are also resistant to bursting open.
Our woven PP bags are nontoxic and non-staining. They are naturally resistant to cracks, stress and tearing due to their strong woven structure to protect your goods. They are also recyclable.
Our woven PP bags are breathable while also safeguarding products from damage from water or vapor (with the addition of a laminated film barrier layer). They will not degrade if they come into contact with moisture.
These bags can be produced with opaque or transparent layers and custom printed to display a brand’s unique logos, labels, graphics and designs. They are suitable for a wide range of uses with numerous sizes and shapes.
Woven PP bags can be laminated with a polypropylene coating, inside or outside, giving an added barrier to moisture and product leakage. This does not hinder Easy-Open and Re-Closure options.
Bags can also be UV stabilised for a longer lifespan when exposed to sunlight. (Please note that UV stabilisation improves the lifecycle and performance of the bag when exposed to direct sunlight, however it does not make the bag sun-proof for an indefinite amount of time).
Common products packaged in woven PP bags are:
There are several variations with WPP Bags, however these are generally available in Flat-Form (pillow shape), Tucked Bottom, or Gusseted (brick-shape) Bags. They can be open mouth hemmed top (eliminating fraying & providing reinforcement for bag closing) with a single fold & chain-stitched bottom seam, or alternatively with heat cut tops, double folding and /or twice-sewn bottoms.

Such packaging is often referred to as “type-approved”, “UN Approved” or “UN certified” “POP” (performance oriented) and is marked in a particular way, prefixed by the UN Packaging symbol and followed by alpha numeric codes. It is not only important to select the correct UN approved packaging, but it is also important to use it as it was tested and carefully follow the closure information provided by the manufacturer.
